Immigration Pathway
Express Entry Permanent Residence
Canada's fastest route to PR for skilled workers — most applicants receive an invitation within 6 months.
What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is the Government of Canada's online system for managing applications from skilled workers who want to become permanent residents. It manages three federal economic programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW), the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST).
When you create a profile, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) ranks you against other candidates using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The CRS scores you out of 1,200 based on age, education, language ability, work experience, and adaptability factors. Roughly every two weeks, IRCC issues Invitations to Apply (ITA) to the highest-scoring candidates in a draw.
This is where good representation matters most. Your CRS score isn't fixed — it can often be improved by retaking language tests, securing a provincial nomination, or submitting documents in the right order. We assess your profile and identify the highest-impact moves for your specific situation.
Eligibility
Do you qualify?
These are the core requirements for most Express Entry candidates. Your specific situation may have additional considerations.
- Language test results at CLB 7 or higher in all four abilities (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
- At least 1 year of skilled work experience (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) within the last 10 years
- Valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for foreign education
- Sufficient settlement funds (unless you have a valid Canadian job offer or are already working in Canada)
- No criminal or medical inadmissibility to Canada
- CRS score competitive with recent draws (typically 470+ for all-program draws, lower for category-based draws)
The Process
How it works
From profile creation to PR confirmation, here's what the journey looks like.
- 1
Create your Express Entry profile
We assemble your language results, ECA, work experience proof, and personal details into a complete IRCC profile — accurate, complete, and optimized for CRS points.
- 2
Enter the Express Entry pool
Your profile sits in the pool with a CRS score and a unique identifier. Profiles stay in the pool for up to 12 months. We monitor every draw and update your profile as new credentials, language scores, or job offers come in.
- 3
Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA)
When IRCC's draw cut-off meets or falls below your score, you receive an ITA. You then have 60 days to submit your full PR application.
- 4
Submit your PR application
We prepare and file the full electronic application package — police certificates, medical, reference letters, ECA, language results, and all required forms.
- 5
Biometrics & medical
IRCC requests biometrics (fingerprints and photo) at a local Visa Application Centre. The medical exam is completed with an IRCC-approved panel physician.
- 6
Decision & Confirmation of PR
Once approved, you receive your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and PR Visa (if applicable). You then complete landing — either at a port of entry or via the online landing process.
